It radically reinforced our belief that bamboo was the right renewable building material for affordable homes with the right sustainable harvesting of the bamboo and the right treatment for durability, longevity and, of course with an innovative design for practicality, beauty and to reduce the cost for affordability.

School of Knowledge for Industrial Labor, Leadership, and Service (SKILLS) is a technical vocational institute operated by Primary Structures Educational Foundation that addresses the shortage of workers in the construction sector through partners from the government, businesses and educational institutions. It has also developed an industry certification strategy, the Assessment, Certification, and Accreditation System that standardizes the skills and competencies required by the construction industry.

The Innovation Awards was a platform for us to share our advocacy with fellow development organizations committed to providing decent shelter for the poor and the marginalized and improving the quality of skills training and education.
